Installation of solar panels & thermal hot water systems
Solar water heating systems use solar panels, fitted to your roof to collect heat from the sun and use it to heat up the water in your hot water cylinder. Often combined with a boiler or immersion heater, a thermal hot water system can be an efficient, more environmentally friendly heating solution for your home.
What are the benefits of using solar power?
Thermal hot water systems, fed by solar panels can provide you with hot water throughout the year. During winter you may need to use your boiler or immersion heater, but during a good summer - game on... sunlight is free after all. Once your Thermal hot water system has been installed you'll see a vast reduction to your household's water heating costs.
Are you looking for an eco-friendly heating solution?
Solar hot water systems are a much greener route to a hot bath. This renewable, sustainable heating solution can lead to a reduction in your carbon footprint.
Switching to using solar panels for your heating can be more straight forward than you think.
There are a couple of points to consider:
Do you have a sunny spot?
You'll need around 5 square metres of roof space which receives direct sunlight for the main part of the day. The panels can fix to a flat roof on a frame, hang from a wall or be mounted on a pitched roof.
Do you have space for a larger, or extra hot water cylinder?
You may need to replace your existing water cylinder or add a dedicated cylinder with a solar heating coil.
You can integrate solar power with your standard boiler
Most conventional boiler and hot water cylinder systems are compatible with thermal water heating but if you're interested in finding out if Solar power is suitable for you then why not give us a call?
